 1.0.0 ELECTRO-MECHANICAL ENGINEER GRADE II – 4 POSITIONS

1.1.0 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

i. Collecting information and data on electricity and various machinery, machinery prices, and electrical equipment both locally and internationally.

ii. Ensuring accurate work valuation to achieve value for money.

iii. Planning, designing, and manufacturing machinery under the supervision of a registered engineer (Professional Engineer).

iv. Conducting design and supervising the implementation of Technical and Electrical Projects.

v. Conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance of work equipment, technical equipment, and machinery.

vi. Designing, preparing costs, and performing maintenance of Electrical and Technical projects.

vii. Collecting information and data on various electrical equipment and machinery both locally and internationally.

viii. Developing and maintaining a machinery database and its maintenance.

ix. Performing other duties assigned by the supervisor.

1.2.0 APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS

Must have completed Form IV or Form VI education and possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electro-Mechanical Engineering from a government-recognized institution, computer literacy, and registration with the Engineers’ Registration Board as a Graduate Engineer (GE).

1.3.0 SALARY SCALE – Based on the government’s salary scale – TGS E1

1.4.0 ELECTRICAL-POWER (RENEWABLE ENERGY) ENGINEER GRADE II – 1 POSITION


1.5.0 JOB DESCRIPTION

i. Collecting information and data on Electrical Energy, including prices of electrical equipment both locally and internationally.

ii. Ensuring accurate work valuation to achieve value for money.

1.6.0 APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS

Must have completed Form IV or Form VI education and possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Power Engineering (Renewable Energy) from a government-recognized institution, computer literacy, and registration with the Engineers’ Registration Board as a Graduate Engineer (GE).

1.7.0 SALARY SCALE – Based on the government’s salary scale – TGS E1

1.8.0 HYDROLOGIST GRADE II 16 POSITIONS

1.9.0 JOB DESCRIPTION

i. Supervising the construction and repair of weather stations and water quantity measurement stations in rivers, dams, and lakes.

ii. Conducting data verification during data processing.

iii. Planning and designing hydrological and meteorological observation network systems.

iv. Planning, designing, and supervising construction activities in observation networks.

v. Supervising hydrological investigations of the relationship between water depth and water quantity (stage-discharge observations).

vi. Creating water catchment maps using the Geographical Information System (GIS) method.

vii. Preparing flood-affected area maps in basins and participating in providing advice on precautions.

viii. Verifying the quality of all hydrological and meteorological data.

ix. Coordinating and conducting preliminary investigations of hydrological facilities.

x. Performing other duties assigned by the supervisor.

1.10.0 APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS

Must have completed Form IV or Form VI education and possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Hydrology or Water Resources Engineering from a government-recognized institution and computer literacy.

1.11.0 SALARY SCALE – Based on the government’s salary scale – TGS E1

1.12.0 HYDROGEOLOGIST GRADE II – 11 POSITIONS

1.13.0 JOB DESCRIPTION

i. Conducting and supervising groundwater research to determine the quantity and quality of groundwater.

ii. Performing hydrogeological work related to dam safety.

iii. Inspecting machinery and equipment of companies requiring licenses for groundwater research.

iv. Collecting, analyzing, and processing hydrogeological data and information for water sector development purposes.

v. Performing minor maintenance of groundwater research equipment.

vi. Collecting, analyzing, and processing hydrogeological data and information for water sector development purposes.

vii. Coordinating and supervising groundwater research and providing necessary advice to water sector professionals and other related fields.

viii. Coordinating and supervising well drilling and verifying completion reports.

ix. Designing well construction (Design of well development).

x. Performing other duties assigned by the supervisor.

 1.14.0 APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS

Must have completed Form IV or Form VI education and possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Geological Engineering, or Geophysics from a government-recognized institution and computer literacy.

1.15.0 SALARY SCALE – Based on the government’s salary scale – TGS E1

2.0.1 SUPPLIES OFFICER GRADE II – 15 POSITIONS


2.0.2 JOB DESCRIPTION

i. Preparing schedules of required materials.

ii. Organizing the procedure for receiving supplies.

iii. Compiling and maintaining data on receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies.

iv. Managing the reception, distribution, and storage of supplies (Physical Distribution).

v. Designing a warehouse location and storage system (Location Index Design).

vi. Generating various supply reports.

vii. Calculating and reporting the value of goods in the warehouse following the established procedures.

viii. Preparing goods receipt documents.

ix. Distributing goods to user departments and other users.

x. Performing other duties assigned by the supervisor.


 2.0.3 APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS

Employment requires a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Diploma in Procurement or Supply from a government-recognized institution or possession of “Professional level III” issued by the Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technicians Board (PSPTB). Other qualifications recognized by PSPTB and registration with PSPTB as a “Graduate Procurement and Supplies Professional” are also accepted.


2.0.4 SALARY SCALE – Based on the government’s salary scale – TGS D
