2.0.5 Procurement Officer II – 15 Positions

Responsibilities

i. Assisting in the preparation of tender documents.

ii. Distributing tender documents.

iii. Liaising with various departments regarding procurement requirements.

iv. Collecting and maintaining market intelligence on prices for certain products.

v. Verifying all payment claims before processing.

vi. Performing other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree/Higher Diploma in Procurement or Supply Chain Management from a government-recognized institution or hold a “Professional Level III” qualification issued by the Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technicians Board (PSPTB). Alternatively, candidates with other qualifications recognized by the PSPTB and registered as a “Graduate Procurement and Supplies Professional” are eligible to apply.

As per the government’s salary scales, namely Salary Scale TGS. D

2.0.9 Assistant Supplies Officer II – 10 Positions

Responsibilities

i. Managing a warehouse with valuable materials.

ii. Receiving new materials from various suppliers and receiving used materials requiring preservation.

iii. Opening and maintaining a “Bin Card” for each item in the warehouse.

iv. Opening a ledger to record the entry, storage, and exit of materials using various documents.

v. Providing materials to customers and other users.

vi. Ensuring cleanliness and safety of the warehouse and its contents.

vii. Preparing receipts for materials.

viii. Performing other assigned duties.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess a Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Business with a specialization in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from a government-recognized institution or have equivalent qualifications recognized by the Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technicians Board (PSPTB). Candidates should be registered with the PSPTB as either a “Procurement and Supplies Technician” or a “Procurement and Supplies Full Technician” and should have computer skills.

2.0.17 Office Management Secretary II – 15 Positions

Responsibilities

i. Typing letters, reports, and confidential documents.

ii. Receiving visitors and addressing their concerns by directing them to the appropriate support.

iii. Maintaining records of events, appointments, meeting dates, the supervisor’s travel, and other work schedules.

iv. Locating files and documents required for work duties.

v. Receiving and distributing files to officers in the respective departments/units/sections.

vi. Preparing excerpts and making arrangements for various meetings.

vii. Compiling a list of office equipment needs.

viii. Performing other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Candidates should have completed Form Four (IV) or Form Six (VI) and possess a Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Secretarial Studies. They should have passed the shorthand and typing examinations with a minimum speed of 80 words per minute in both Kiswahili and English.

2.0.21 Automobile Engineer II – 2 Positions

Responsibilities

i. Working under the supervision of a registered engineer as a “Professional Engineer” to gain the necessary experience.

ii. Gaining practical experience in the relevant fields to qualify for registration by the Engineers Registration Board.

iii. Collecting information and statistics on vehicles, machinery, prices, both locally and internationally.

iv. Reviewing various technical project proposals submitted to the Ministry.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess a Degree/Higher Diploma in Automobile Engineering from government-recognized universities in one of the mentioned engineering disciplines.

Salary Scale

As per the government’s salary scales, namely Salary Scale TGS. E

2.0.25 Nurse II – 15 Posts

Responsibilities

i. Providing nursing care to clients in the community, hospitals, and all healthcare settings.

ii. Supervising and coordinating the work of healthcare providers in their respective workplaces.

iii. Collecting and preparing performance reports.

iv. Providing home-based care.

v. Providing counseling services.

vi. Providing preventive and family planning services.

vii. Providing maternity and child health services.

viii. Educating patients and the community about their health issues.

ix. Monitoring the maintenance of resources in their work areas.

x. Performing other duties assigned by the supervisor related to education, experience, and skills.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess a two-year Nursing Certificate from a government-recognized institution and be registered (Enrolled) with the Tanzania Nurses and Midwives Council.

2.0.29 Technician II – Electrical – 15 Positions

Responsibilities

i. Inspecting and repairing government vehicles to ensure quality.

ii. Conducting testing of electrical and mechanical systems as per engineer’s instructions.

iii. Performing maintenance on electrical systems.

iv. Performing repairs on machinery, vehicles, and electrical equipment.

v. Performing minor electrical projects (supervising the installation of new machines in workshops).

Qualifications

i. Candidates who have completed Form Four (IV) and a three-year technical course from government-recognized technical colleges in one of the electrical fields.

ii. Candidates who have completed Form Six (VI) and a two-year technical training program from a government-recognized institution in one of the electrical fields.

iii. Candidates who have passed the Technical Examination Stage I in one of the electrical fields from a government-recognized technical college.

iv. Candidates with an Ordinary Diploma in one of the electrical fields from a government-recognized institution.

2.0.33 Health Administrator II – 5 Positions

Responsibilities

i. Interpreting laws, guidelines, and permanent government regulations.

ii. Preparing plans and estimates for health-related activities.

iii. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on operations and performance.

iv. Managing funds and procurement of supplies in accordance with financial and procurement guidelines.

v. Supervising and evaluating the performance of staff based on agreed procedures.

vi. Planning patient transportation.

vii. Providing administrative advice on daily issues related to health service delivery.

viii. Keeping health statistics and records.

ix. Training staff on resource management (staff, finance, equipment, and time).

x. Conducting research.

xi. Supervising and evaluating health service operations.

xii. Performing other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Service Administration from government-recognized institutions.
